I commenced complementary training in 1991 at the Churchill Centre, London with a course in Holistic Massage following my own health issues. After attaining the school's own Certificate, I then went on and attained an I.T.E.C. (International Therapy Examination Council) in Massage, Anatomy and Physiology and followed that with an Advanced Massage course with the Churchill Centre that covered the use of aromatherapy oils, deep seated massage and lymphatic drainage.
A year later I trained in reflexology with Janice Ellicott, a well-known and respected reflexologist, gaining her own certificate.
Kinesiology training commenced in 1993 at the Academy of Systematic Kinesiology with Brian Butler and Stephanie Mills. I became a Diplomate in 1996. The training covers how to test up to 40 bilateral muscles and the correction from them all, which may include massaging lymphatic points (done by the client), the related nutritional requirements, Bach Flower remedies for emotional issues that can affect the strength of muscles and much more.
Shortly after gaining my Diploma I trained with Don Harrison at the Allergy and Environmental Therapy at their centre at Ffynonnwen in Wales, where they taught me how to test and use their homoeopathic desensitisers to relieve many of today's environmental health problems. I also use herbal remedies for some of the environmental issues.
Around that time I also trained in Phytobiophysics with Diana Mossop. See the page on this for more information.
Since that time I have attended various other courses, the knowledge of which I sometimes use within a kinesiology treatment. I have also been on numerous kinesiology training courses since then to keep up-to-date.
I am particularly passionate about everyone learning how to help themselves to better health. If you go to the Jin Shin Self Help page you will find a routine which I recommend that you use, at least to start with, daily. There is, however, much more to be gained from this ancient therapy. For more information and to try the Self Help, please go to that page.
I am currently a member of the Kinesiology Association, the Kinesiology Federation, the British Institute of Allergy & Environmental Therapy, the British Complementary Medicine Association and the Institute of Phytobiophysics.
If you have any questions on any of my therapies then please contact me on the email address above.
